Alpha Chapter

SPRING 1995

On October 13, 1995, XI THETA PSI presented to Utica University's Inter-Greek Council their proposal for the chartering of the first Latino-based Fraternity founded at the university.

The following Greek-lettered organizations were present: the fraternities of Tau Kappa Epsilon, Alpha Chi Rho, Chi Kappa Delta, and Alpha Phi Omega and the sororities of Upsilon Chi, Phi Sigma Sigma, Beta Sigma Phi, Chi Beta Sigma, Sigma Gamma Rho, and Gamma Sigma Sigma.

The ALPHA Chapter was chartered at Utica University on November 18, 1995. The Fraternity's official leadership would compose of President: Noel Figueroa; Vice-President: David Quintero; Treasurer: Louis D. Colon; Secretary/Historian: Ralph A. Figueroa; and First Advisor: Assistant Professor, Dr. Daniel Hernandez.

This would become a major milestone for both Utica University and XI THETA PSI. This presented the opportunity for the Fraternity to re-brand itself and represent what it truly was, an Afro-Latino Based Brotherhood.
